DRC Monthly Meeting

CANCELED Apr 14, 2020

Tower Room, Public Library

Due to restrictions placed on all of us for the Covid-19 pandemic, all DRC meetings are canceled until further notice. The board's executive committee has voted to continue with the current officers and board members until the annual election, originally scheduled for this meeting, can be held.

Election Day Mail-in Deadline

Apr 28, 2020

Following current concerns about the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), places of gathering have been closed statewide including bars and restaurants. Carry-out is available while adhering to social distancing procedures.

Most social activities have been cancelled for now and it is advised to stay home as much as possible.

This has extended to Hamilton County elections, which are limited to mail-in votes with a deadline of April 28 for residents who have not yet cast a ballot.

You must submit an absentee vote-by-mail application to receive a ballot in the mail. Then, send in the ballot by mail before April 28.

Library closed, but E-books still available

Approx. Apr 30, 2020

In response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus), all 41 Library locations are closed to the public until further notice (effective Friday March 14). Library leadership will be assessing the closure on a weekly basis.

While you wait, you can still read and stream on a device at home. Under the "E-Branch" tab, or at https://www.cincinnatilibrary.org/eBranch/, there is a host of information on how you can access library materials virtually, and for free.

By creating an account on your service of choice (e.g., streaming at Hoopla / hoopladigital.com), you can stream movies, read e-books, or perform research.

Once again, paddlers can register for one of two races (the full 9-mile course, or the 4.2-mile "Race To The Roebling"). Not a racer or prefer to take in the sights in a more leisurely way? Join the larger casual paddlers' group on the 9-mile course.

Put-in is at Schmidt Recreation Complex (2944 Humbert Avenue), take-out is at Gilday Riverside Park (3540 Southside Avenue); you can also view the colorful procession of boats from anywhere in between!
