After a busy summer full of events that included our 20th anniversary, a unique candidates mixer andsponsorship of the Summer Arts at the Library,the fall is off to a great start.
Our downtown residents were out in full strength earlier this month as volunteers for the Downtown Tour of Living, which drew more than 4000 tour go-ers. The DRC is a co-sponsor of the third season of Bengals Bash,downtown'stailgate in the Backstage District on Friday nights before Bengals home games.
And, on Saturday, October 22, downtown residents will gather for "Make a Difference Day" on the Cincinnati side of the Purple People Bridge.We plan to meet at 11 AM for a two hour clean-up effort. For information about these events and more, visit the DRC website calendar, www.ilivedowntown.com.
The DRC's Bandana Walking Map has been a big hitamong current and new residents. The map,which comes in 11 different colors,reminds us all what a great pedestrian city we call home. Proceeds from the sale of the bandana walking maps go to support quality of life projects sponsored by the DRC.
The next DRC member meeting will be Tuesday, November 8th at 6 PM at the downtown branch of the Public Library, Room 3A. These meetings are the best forum to learn about what's going on in your community and a great opportunity to share your own news or concerns.
Palomino Restaurant will host the DRC November social event. While the date is yet to be solidified, all attendees are guaranteed great food and a chanceto win door prizes.
